About Spartan Land Works

Who we are

Spartan Land Works is owned and run by Curtis Hale. Curtis lives in the Cockrum community just outside Hernando with his family, and he grew up working with his hands: building fences full time, working for the railroad, and later inspecting homes. Spartan started as Spartan Fence Co., and the land clearing work grew naturally out of years spent cutting fence lines out of the brush.

Today, Spartan focuses on what North Mississippi landowners need most: getting overgrown land cleared, cleaned up and usable again, and keeping it that way.

How we work

• We walk it with you first. Every job starts with a free site visit so we both know exactly what's getting done.
• Written price, up front. By the hour or for the job. No surprise bills.
• Your land, your call. You decide which trees stay and what happens to the debris.
• Right tool for the job. Track loader with a heavy-duty brush cutter and grapple, tractor bush hogging, and a dump trailer for hauling. If a job needs something we don't do, we'll tell you and point you to someone who does.
• Easy to reach. Call or text and you get the owner.

Why "Spartan"?

It's the name Curtis put on his first business, and it still fits: tough, disciplined, and built to get hard work done without fuss.
