Lot & Homesite Clearing
Thinking about buying land, or ready to build? We open up the lot so you can see what you've got, then clear the house site, drive and yard.
See the land before you commit to it
It's hard to judge a wooded lot when you can't see 20 feet into it. Where's the best house spot? Where does the water go? Is there a view hiding behind the privet? A few hours of brush cutting can answer those questions before you sign anything, and it makes surveys, perc tests and walk-throughs with your builder a lot easier.
Already own it? We'll clear the areas you need for the house, driveway, yard and outbuildings, and leave the trees that make the place worth living on.

Typical homesite clearing
- House pad area cleared of brush and small trees so your builder or dirt contractor can get to work
- Driveway path opened from the road to the build site
- Yard and septic areas cleared and leveled of brush
- Shop, barn or pole-barn sites
- Selective thinning around the trees you want to keep near the house
- Debris piled or hauled so the site's ready for the next trade
Plan it before we clear it
A little planning saves a lot of money. Before we start, it helps to know where the house, drive and septic system are likely to go, and where the property lines are. Our guide on clearing land before you build walks through what to have lined up first.
Stumps and grading: we cut low and clean up the brush. Pulling stumps, digging, and grading the pad is dirt work. If your builder needs a fully grubbed pad, tell us at the site visit and we'll plan the job around it or point you to the right contractor.
Lots for sale
A cleared, walkable lot photographs better and sells faster than a wall of green. If you're listing land in DeSoto, Tate or Marshall County, a light clearing and a fresh bush hog cut can make a real difference in how buyers see it.
Where we clear lots
We work across Hernando, Olive Branch, Southaven and Horn Lake, Nesbit, Lake Cormorant and Walls, Tate County and Marshall County.

Common questions
Should I clear a lot before I buy it?
If the seller allows it, light clearing can help you see the lay of the land, drainage and the best house spot. Always get the owner's written permission before any work on land you don't own yet.
Do I need a permit to clear my lot?
Brush cutting on your own land usually doesn't need a permit, but rules vary by city and by situation, especially near wetlands, creeks or in city limits. Check with your city or county planning office if you're unsure.
Will you remove the stumps for my house pad?
Our clearing cuts trees and brush low to the ground; stumps stay unless arranged ahead of time. If you need a grubbed pad, tell us at the site visit.
How long does it take to clear a homesite?
A typical one- to two-acre homesite with brush and small trees is often a one- to three-day job, depending on how thick it is and what's done with the debris.
Can you work with my builder?
Yes. We're happy to walk the site with your builder or dirt contractor so the clearing matches their plan.
